This Banana Bread keeps for a couple of days in the fridge. You can substitute the Walnuts with Almonds too for a change and you'll have Banana Almond Bread!

Banana Walnut Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

Banana Walnut Bread Recipe 130g butter

1 teaspoon vanilla essence

3/4 cup caster sugar

2 eggs

1 cup mashed bananas

3/4 cup self-raising flour

3/4 cup plain flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

3/4 cup chopped walnuts


Preparation:

1. Grease 2 loaf pans.

2. Cream butter, essence and sugar in a bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy.

3. Add eggs and beat until combined.

4. Stir in half the bananas with half the sifted dry ingredients and half the walnuts.

5. After that, stir in remainder of the bananas, dry ingredients and walnuts; stir until combined.

6. Pour mixture into pans and bake in moderate oven for 50 minutes.

7. When cooked, let the bread cool for 5 minutes and turn on a rack.

6. Serve with butter and jam.
