Really Easy Banana Cream Pie Recipe.

A wonderfully light and creamy Banana Cream Pie recipe..

Banana Cream Pie Recipe

Ingredients.

3/4 cup castor sugar

1/3 cup all-purpose flour

a pinch of salt

2 cups low-fat milk

3 egg yolks, beaten

2 tablespoons butter

1 and 1/4 teaspoons vanilla essence

1 (9-inch) store-bought pie crust, baked in accordance to instruction on the package

4 bananas, sliced. Preparation.

1. In a a flat but moderately deep pan, combine the sugar, flour, and salt. Add milk in slowly while stirring gently.

2. Cook over medium heat, keep stirring continuously until the mixture is starts to form bubbles on top. Keep stirring and cook for a further 3 minutes, and then remove from the fire.

3. Stir a small quantity of the hot mixture into the beaten egg yolks, and immediately add the egg mixture to the rest of the hot mixture. Cook for 2 more minutes; remember to keep stirring.

4. Remove the mixture from the stove, and add butter and vanilla essence and stir until the mixture is smooth.

5. Arrange the sliced bananas into the cooled baked pastry shell. Top with the mixture.

6. Bake at 175 degrees C for 15 minutes.

7. Remove from the oven and let the pie cool. Once cool, place in the refrigerator for an hour before serving.
